Two Swedish tourists were shot dead in Brussels, Belgium by a gunman screaming "Allahu Akbar" according to local reports.

Federal prosecutors in Belgium have announced they would be treating the shooting as terrorism and opened a probe.

The tourists were allegedly in town for a Euro 2024 football (soccer) match.

The suspect was wearing an orange jacket and reportedly dismounted from a scooter before he began firing from what looked to be an automatic Kalashnikov-type rifle. He fled the scene and is currently at large.
