European diplomats have told the Kremlin that NATO countries will be ready to shoot down Russian airplanes if there are further violations of airspace, according to a report from Bloomberg.

French, British, and German envoys addressed their concerns at a tense meeting in Moscow after there was an incursion by three MiG-31 fighter jets that were over Estonia last week, according to the outlet, citing officials familiar with the conversations.

Following the conversations, sources familiar with the meetings told Bloomberg that they believe the violation of airspace had been deliberate tactic from Russia commanders. Officials from the Kremlin have denied that there was a violation of airspace in Estonia, and that they are not trying to test the waters with NATO.

Russian officials also said that a separate incident, where a Russian jet entered Poland's airspace, was in error. Bloomberg said in its report: "During the talks, a Russian diplomat told the Europeans that the incursions were a response to Ukrainian attacks on Crimea, the officials said. The Kremlin said those operations would not have been possible without NATO support and, as a result, Russia considers that it is already engaged in a confrontation including European nations."

Earlier this week, after President Donald Trump addressed the United Nations about multiple policy issues, including the war between Russia and Ukraine, he posted to Truth Social, "After getting to know and fully understand the Ukraine/Russia Military and Economic situation and, after seeing the Economic trouble it is causing Russia, I think Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form."

"With time, patience, and the financial support of Europe and, in particular, NATO, the original Borders from where this War started, is very much an option," he added.

For the past month, there have been multiple airspace violations of NATO's eastern members. During the talks, Russian officials said that the incursions were response to the attacks on Crimea from Ukraine, and that those attacks would not have been possible unless NATO had supported them.
