President Joe Biden, or whatever is left of him, continues to demonstrate gaping contempt for America even as he prepares for a retirement that will probably be a short one. But it must surely be a bad joke to award former Rep. Liz Cheney (RINO-WY) with the Presidential Citizens Medal for her work in helping to lead a kangaroo court that emulated the theatrics and raw political mendacity of the storied Stalinist show trials of the 1930s.
Yes, Liz is getting the recognition she no doubt believes she deserves for her work on the J6 committee that only revealed how delusional Democrats and fake Republicans like her were about the Capitol Hill riot that was a bit like the US Communist Party of the 1950s – dominated by the FBI. If the lingering allegations about Cheney’s contributions to the J6 committee are accurate, that she coached witnesses and told them to lie, Liz should not be getting an award but a trial. But this event, so early in 2025, was a reminder of how 2024 almost turned out, with people like Biden and Cheney continuing to pretend that J6 was somehow an event surpassing Pearl Harbor in cunning evil.
It was a reminder that the changes of late 2024 cannot be lost in 2025 – and how that danger always exists.
Did you think 2024 would end as it did? Who could have predicted that President Joe Biden would be forced out of the presidential race by his old friends in the Democratic Party? We all knew Biden was drifting further into the tunnel of dementia but did we ever expect the mainstream media to acknowledge that as they did after that first presidential debate between Biden and now President-elect Donald Trump? Did we really believe a sitting president who had won all of the Democratic primaries would simply stand aside because the party bosses told him that he had to? Was this a political party or the Mafia? And could anyone have imagined that Vice President Kamala Harris would simply take it all from Biden, nomination and campaign funds without even entering a primary?
We have become so used to the inevitability of absurdity in America that it just seemed like Harris would win the presidential election. The febrile nature of politics is such that we have come to believe that success comes not as a result of acumen, sincerity and leadership but due to an absence of all these factors. That was certainly the case for Harris, who ran a campaign that suggested she didn’t owe the voters a damn thing; after all, she didn’t even owe her own party anything but accepting a presidential nomination she had done nothing to earn. That Trump would win so convincingly was truly a verification that sanity was still an option in American public affairs.
So, Nov. 5 was a watershed moment in American history, that moment when voters took back their democratic rights. But don’t think the Deep State is going to accept that insistence. It clearly is pushing back with all of its might and preparing once again to try to capture and define the Trump presidency. The Biden administration – and it truly is an administration named after a chief executive who no longer functions as one but merely presents himself as a figurehead for a junta composed of Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and the political advisors who have run this presidency for the last four years – continues to do everything it can to sabotage the return of President Trump. It continues to bolster the corrupt government in Ukraine with billions of dollars that comprise an insane investment in nuclear war. It has done nothing at the border while continuing to parade Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in news interviews, where he claims his department is so powerless that it lacks the authority to shoot down drones just as it apparently lacked the ability to stop millions of illegal immigrants from coming into America. It already has that authority but chooses to not use it against the enemies of America but against Americans itself, whom it continues to view as terrorists if they oppose abortion or object to Critical Race Theory.
What was another great lie of the Biden administration? Surely that the greatest threat to national security was white supremacy. The events this week in New Orleans are demonstrating again how baseless that claim is as a madman that even the demented Biden admits was perhaps influenced by ISIS. The Ku Klux Klan couldn’t plan for a convention at a cheap hotel in Birmingham, AL because there is so little interest in its objectives and its branding has long represented sheer toxicity but ISIS can still motivate its acolytes to drive their cars into crowds of innocent people – and the FBI can still send its DEI-hire to tell the media that this event had nothing to do with terrorism.
Is this the Deep State pushing back by creating the conditions necessary for the imposition of emergency powers? We see the same danger on the horizon over the manufactured bird flu crisis that already has Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) preparing for lockdowns and more of the lunatic mandates that never apply to the Democratic elites but keep the population under the government’s thumb.
Trump cannot allow himself to be diverted or distracted by any national crisis that would compel him to keep America enslaved some more instead of making it great again. He needs to remember that the Deep State will always try to control the political agenda just as it controls politicians through pandemics and wars on terror and just about everything else. Trump needs to remember why he was reelected and to stay focused on those themes of prosperity, peace and individual freedom. He cannot be controlled by events or emergency decrees. We turned a corner in 2024 and will not look back in 2025.
