American voters also witnessed the most remarkable political comeback in the history of American elections, as 45th President Donald Trump became the first man since Grover Cleveland to be elected to two non-consecutive terms, surviving an onslaught of primaries, bullets, and felonies during his rise back to the top of the political world. By powering through two assassination attempts and actions by the D.C. establishment and mainstream media to take him out physically, lawfully, and politically, Trump proved that the movement he started in 2015 was only just beginning, and his legacy will continue to dominate not only the Republican Party but the American electorate overall.
Trump's comeback changed American politics for good and for the better. After an election that was schemed to favor Democrats and mail-in ballots that ended in a Joe Biden presidency in 2020, many conservative and liberal pundits thought Trump was finished and that the GOP had to return to its neoconservative base to win again. Even when Trump declared his intention to run for the 2024 GOP Presidential Nomination yet again, the Republican establishment thought they would follow suit with the same uniparty actors that were trying to take him out lawfully but try to defeat him at the ballot box instead. Luckily, the GOP primary electorate saw right through what the establishment was trying to do to Trump and elected him as their nominee in a dominant fashion.
Then, after a rigorous but decisive primary election, Trump prepared to face incumbent Joe Biden in November and debate him in the summer as a test of strength. During that June debate, Trump dominated Biden so severely that the Democrats kicked him out of the race and chose his own Vice President Kamala Harris to be the nominee to go against him.
Many mainstream media pundits, Republican 'experts,' and Democrats were now anxious to see how Harris would perform against Trump. However, as Harris faltered in policy, media, and campaigning, even after raising a billion dollars, Trump steadied the nation's hand in proving he was the best man for the job.
On November 5th, former President Donald Trump secured a historic victory, defeating Vice President Kamala Harris in the most decisive win for a Republican nominee for President in modern American history. Trump's triumph, winning all nine swing states, delivered a popular vote victory, a solid United States Senate Republican majority, and even maintained a Republican majority in the House of Representatives.
Trump delivered the 'MAGA Mandate' that so many in Washington feared would come to fruition. In his promises of mass deportation, a complete gutting of the deep state establishment, peace through strength priority of foreign relations, and economic revitalization through nationalist populist policies, Trump won over the American electorate in a fashion most could only dream about.
Now, it is the Republican Party's responsibility to act on the demands of the American people. The citizens of the United States have unequivocally called for change in their government. This battle is not against the Democrats or the far-left Marxists in power in Washington. It is a battle for the people's will.
This fight will have to be amongst the GOP in actually doing what has been asked of them.
Government spending efficiency, confirmation of Trump's cabinet nominees, mass deportation of illegal aliens, and an overturn of politically-motivated usage of government power against conservatives are the main issues at the heart of Trump's victory, and Republicans currently have the power to make it all happen.
Republicans can no longer be corrupted by the idea that the usage of power to accomplish policy is some overreach of the government arm.
President Trump ran on these policies to facilitate change, and the GOP, in all facets, needs to make it happen. He needs the voices in conservative media, state governments run by the GOP, his cabinet nominees, grassroots activists, and most essentially, his Congressional colleagues to accomplish his goals over the next four years.
The year 2025 has to be the year of the MAGA takeover of our government and American culture, and it can only be accomplished by powerful collaboration between Trump and those whom he has helped get elected.
It is time for change through the usage of power the GOP has been elected to use, and they cannot wait to enact it.
