Remember Aurelia Fedensin? She's the former investigator for the State Department Inspector General who blew the whistle on Hillary Clinton's State Department covering up scandals and squashing investigations around the world. Fedensin and her family have already been hassled with intimidating displays of force by the same State Department that seemed relatively untroubled by an ambassador allegedly chasing underage prostitutes through the streets of Belgium.
Knowing that her allegations would be explosive, Fedensin wisely retained the services of a law firm called Schulman & Mathias of Dallas, Texas. Which just got robbed in a Watergate-style break-in.
The thieves walked right past an unlocked adjacent office, and ignored piles of valuable loot (including bars of silver!) to steal three computers and root through a couple of file cabinets. The building's security cameras captured footage of the plumbers... er, excuse me, burglars... entering and leaving the offices.
The attorneys are fairly confident this was a political hit, although they're willing to grant that it might have been a freelance operation carried out by overzealous Obama or Clinton supporters, as they told Foreign Policy magazine:
"It's a crazy, strange and suspicious situation," attorney Cary Schulman told The Cable. "It's clear to me that it was somebody looking for information and not money. My most high-profile case right now is the Aurelia Fedenisn case, and I can't think of any other case where someone would go to these great lengths to get our information."
[...] After assessing the surveillance footage, Schulman said he believed the motivations were likely political, but did not suspect department involvement. "It wasn't professional enough," he said. "It is possible that an Obama or Hillary supporter feels that I am unfairly going after them. And the timing of this is right after several weeks of very public media attention so it seems to me most likely that the information sought is related to that case. I don't know for sure and I want the police to do their work."
[...] Schulman & Mathias represent a range of clients on matters from fraud to wrongful death to bad faith insurance practices to medical malpractice. Any number of those cases could've exposed the firm to such a break in, but Schulman said he was skeptical. "I'm involved in other cases locally, but those cases are rather stale."
Gosh, you know what? I'll bet this is just like the way all those IRS employees, supervisors, and top officials spontaneously decided to persecute Barack Obama's political enemies during the 2012 election. Nobody has to give any orders for these things to occur. Obama (or, evidently, his cabinet secretaries) just have to point fingers of accusation and blame, and those rabid supporters leap to the attack, committing all sorts of misdemeanors and felonies on their own initiative.
I'm sure plenty of Obama and Clinton groupies are closely following the Fedensin story - which has gotten virtually zero coverage outside of Fox News and conservative blogs - and would easily have been able to locate her law firm to arrange a spontaneous burglary. But remember, the Tea Party is supposed to be the band of outlaw malcontents forever teetering on the edge of criminal activity.
