A trio of Brits have been imprisoned after pleading guilty to kidnapping and violently abusing a 21-year-old woman with a learning disability in Norwich, England.

Jodie Colvin and Elisha Robinson, both 23, were sentenced to 12 years and nine months behind bars, while their teenage accomplice, who has not been publicly identified, will spend the next six years in a youth detention center.

According to the Daily Mail, Colvin and Robinson admitted to assault by penetration, causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent, false imprisonment, and inflicting grievous bodily harm. Robinson admitted to an additional count of administering a poison or noxious substance with intent, and two counts of assaulting a police officer.

The teen admitted to false imprisonment and inflicting grievous bodily harm, and was subsequently found guilty of assault by penetration and causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent, as well.

The incident took place on February 6, 2023. The victim, who was not named in the report, was on her way to meet a friend at the cinema in Norwich when she was stopped and convinced to get into a vehicle. Both Colvin and Robinson were said to have been on cocaine at the time.

She was taken to Colvin's home in the nearby town of Mulbarton, and held for over six hours. During that time, she was kicked, punched, cut, sexually assaulted with a beer bottle, had bleach and boiling water poured over her head, and was forced to eat feces.

The following morning, she was marched out of the house, and told by Colvin and Robinson that if she reported the attack, they would kill her mother, brother, and dog.

"I really struggle to get my head around how a human being could treat another human being the way I was treated," the victim said in a statement. "Why did it happen to me? I can barely sleep as I keep reliving the whole thing and if I do sleep, I wake up terrified from recurring nightmares. The knock-on-effect of the assault and the damage it has caused to myself, and my family, will last forever. Nothing will ever be the same again."
