EXCLUSIVE: Dr. Taylor Marshall on the Catholic Church’s cancelation of Bishop Strickland—‘They’re trying to make an example of him’

"He has been singled out by infiltrators in the Vatican."

Dr. Taylor Marshall joined Jack Posobiec on his podcast Tuesday to reveal “disturbing” insight he had about the Bishop of Tyler, Texas being “encouraged” to resign by Pope Francis.

Posobiec fondly recounted interacting with Bishop Strickland at a prayer rally outside of Dodger’s game. The event took place while The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence were infamously honored before a game during pride month. “Bishop Strickland was the only bishop in America that showed up and he prayed a prayer of exorcism before that march,” Jack reported.

Marshall began by praising the bishop’s dedication to his faith, prayer and the Bible and said that he “is just a man of God.”

“And unfortunately, he has been singled out by infiltrators in the Vatican, who want to, I believe, make an example of him because Pope Francis is initiating the Synod on Synodality this October, and Bishop Strickland and others had been critical of it,” Dr. Marshall revealed. He clarified that Strickland has been the most critical of it in America.

“I think they're trying to make an example of him,” he continued.

Marshall explained that there was a full investigation done on Bishop Strickland this past summer, conducted by two other Bishops who promised a result within two months. This was an Apostolic visitation which he stated “is a very big deal.”

“And we're coming up on that timeline…it was released over the weekend that Pope Francis met with two cardinals, and they're planning to ask Bishop Strickland to resign being the Bishop of Tyler.”

He added that he “spoke with Bishop Strickland this morning. And he's doing well. He's prayerful. I was really encouraged as a believer just talking to him. And he doesn't have anything official from Rome… I think it's a wait and see… They're going to simply just say, we would just like for you to resign. And then it's up to Bishop Strickland to resign. If he doesn't, they will increase the strength of that encouragement.”

Posobiec and Marshall speculated that the Vatican is attempting to avoid a mess with their methods, noting that “obviously the Pope does have the ability, he could strike him, he could fire him.”

Posobiec asked why they would go after a bishop with such a strong record in the Catholic community.

“Well, there's three things,” Marshall responded. “I think, first off, is Bishop Strickland was one of the very few bishops in America who was critical of mandating vaccines against the conscience of people. He wasn't against vaccines, per se, but he was against mandating them or even using religious authority or the authority of the Church to mandate the acceptance of vaccines against people's conscience… The second is is he has been critical of Pope Francis.”

Marshall elaborated that the pope is more into environmentalism, globalism and politics. Bishop Strickland has previously voiced his opposition on social media outlets such as Twitter which has “angered Francis and the power to be at the Vatican.”

“And then the third,” Marshall continued, “Bishop Strickland stood up as a strong witness at the LA Dodgers event… So he's the most vocal… A lot of people are looking to him as a shepherd as a pastor. And I think this is a threat to Pope Francis and the infiltrators in the Vatican, because they're moving into very strong positions of reform and revision, namely, the ordination of women and the blessing of unnatural unions…and one of those loudest voices is Bishop Strickland.”

Dr. Marshall further explained the Synod on Synodality, the council that the pope is putting on in October:

“The idea is, let's go out into every city in the world and let's consult the lay people and even non Catholics and say to them, ‘what should the Catholic Church look like? How should we modify? How should we update? How can we reach you better?’”

“And of course, that process has brought in a lot of vocal dissent against traditional Christian teaching, particularly as it relates to homosexuality, transgenderism, and women's ordination and feminism.”

“So the idea is all of these surveys are brought in. They're investigated by the bishops, and then they make reports that are then sent to Rome and the Pope is due to make decisions, or proclamations, or perhaps nothing at all, this October.”

He noted that “the two biggest issues are women ordained to the priesthood in the diaconate, and the blessing of same sex unions.”

Marshall concluded, “traditionally, [the pope] has been open to appointing those of a more liberal mindset…more modernist Catholic. He's been appointing them to the highest offices in the church, and that has been an indication to many of us that he is going to try to move forward with some of these liberalizing reforms in October.”

“Those who protest this — like Bishop Strickland — They're going to be on the chopping block.”
