'Operation Love Wins' Seeks to Reunite J6 Defendants With Families

The Real J6, an organization representing individuals incarcerated for the January 6th riot, has launched the "Operation Love Wins" campaign to reunite inmates in the D.C. jail with their families.

The D.C. Department of Corrections recently lifted the requirement for vaccinations before in-person visits, but many families were also unable to visit due to financial constraints.

The Love Wins campaign aims to fund trips for these families to see their loved ones, who have been separated for nearly two years.

"We are asking fellow patriots to donate money, airline miles, hotel points, or other travel resources to aid us in this mission," said Shane Jenkins, the founder of The Real J6 and an inmate in the D.C. jail since March. “It’s been almost two years for most of us."

Jenkins also explained that The Real J6 was about "provide[ing] a window into our lives" and to "let people know who we are, imperfect people who stood up for our Republic," he said.

"We looked at other names and quickly realized this isn't going to end with us incarcerated," he explained. "So, we decided to brand this organization into something that would grow beyond all of this. This is a populist movement and we want to keep our finger on the pulse of the people."

The organization estimates that it will cost about $2,000 per family for one trip and plans to provide transportation, food, and housing for up to four family members.

There are approximately 25 January 6th prisoners in the D.C. jail, and all funds raised through the Love Wins campaign will go directly towards supporting their families' visits.
