On Tuesday, Kari Lake took the stage on day four of Turning Point USA’s Americafest in Phoenix, Arizona to speak of yesterday's news that her post-midterm election lawsuit against Democrat Governor-elect Katie Hobbs is going to trial. Lake's suit alleges illegal votes affected the state's gubernatorial race.

"Hey guys, guess what? Christmas came early yesterday. We are going to trial," Lake said, later adding, "I ran against our own version of Joe Biden here, Katie Hobbs, basement Hobbs. She ducked out on the debate, but she can't duck out from taking the stand in our trial. She will have to take the stand."

Hobbs repeatedly refused to debate Lake during the midterms but Hobbs will have to testify at trial.

"We're taking these bastards to trial," Lake added.

Her lawsuit alleged that "The number of illegal votes cast in Arizona's general election on November 8, 2022 far exceeds the 17,117 vote margin," and that "Witnesses who were present…show hundreds of thousands of illegal ballots infected the election in Maricopa County."

Hobbs, who is the Arizona secretary of state, had her office contact Twitter to censor posts related to the Arizona gubernatorial election, according to the Twitter files. Lake alleges her efforts toward story suppression and interference in county recounts contributed to the a lack of integrity in the election. Hobbs threatened Mohave County and Cochise County supervisors with prosecution if they did not certify the midterm election results.

"Katie Hobbs is gonna have to put her hand on the Bible and swear to tell the truth," Lake said. "That might be hard, that might be hard."

Lake said that her trial starts Wednesday and will go into Thursday.

"We have a chance to show the world that our elections are truly corrupt, and we won't take it anymore. And so we need your prayers," Lake said.

On Friday, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson granted Lake's request to inspect election day ballots at several separate voting locations in a lead up to Wednesday.

"I'm not going to stop fighting. We're going to keep going as I said all the way to the Supreme Court if we have to, because if we don't have fair and honest elections, we have nothing in this country," Lake said.

"How many of you agree that election integrity, honest elections, is the most important issue facing us right now?" Lake asked the audience.

The suit cited the malfunctions with Maricopa County's tabulator machines and noted that whistleblowers found violations in the chain of custody of ballots from election day.

On November 28, at a Maricopa County Board of Supervisors in Arizona special meeting, a poll worker testified that over 500 citizens in the county were disenfranchised in the midterm elections.

Lake spoke about the importance of election integrity on Saturday evening at Americafest and noted the midterm election day failures of Arizona's Maricopa County.

Lake said, "Listen, we don't have a choice but to fix our elections and fix them now. It's so important. Election integrity is the single most important issue of our time."
