Massachusetts Secretary of State Picks Propagandized Jan 6th Rally for ‘Non-Partisan’ Event

In a church-and-state initiative, Massachusetts Secretary of State William Galvin is teaming up with the Old North Church in Boston’s North End for a lighting of lanterns under the premise of supporting the safety and integrity of election workers on the one-year anniversary of the Capitol riot.

The Secretary of State’s office chose, symbolically, the events of January 6, to organize the event around, calling the events an attack on election integrity

Despite the fact that, as reported by Human Events News today, what really happened on January 6th isn’t clear at this point, they’re using this symbolically and treating it as though it was an attack on the American election system.

The ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. outside the church in the Prado. Galvin will be joined by Vicar Matthew Cadwell and a bipartisan group of local election officials.

Human Events News spoke to Debra O’Malley, a press spokeswoman for the Secretary of State’s office, who said that Galvin wanted to host this as a non-partisan event, focused on trying to protect the safety of election workers and vote counters, who have faced threats and violence in the state of Massachusetts. They believe that doing this will be a way to show support and rally behind election workers, and expect Democrats and some Republicans to show up.

When asked if Galvin viewed January 6th as an insurrection, O’Malley said that he made no statement to that regard that she’s aware of.

“The Secretary of State wanted to hold this event as a show of support for the safety and well being of election workers and volunteers in Massachusetts and across the country,” O’Malley said.

The Old North Church is very famous, as it was the location of the famed “one if by land, two if by sea” signal from Paul Revere to warn of an attack by British troops at the beginning of the Revolutionary War. Now, the church will be used for a propagandized remembrance ceremony.

Human Events News recently covered the path of another Old North Church inspired event, the Liberty Lantern’s journey across 50 states over a two month period.
