House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairwoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.) announced Thursday morning that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will testify about the State Departments actions before, during, and after the murder of four Americans at a U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.

During a full committee hearing on how to shore up diplomatic posts against future attacks, Ros-Lehtinen said Clinton's chief of staff had confirmed to her that Clinton would testify before the House Foreign Relations Committee and its Senate counterpart later this year.

Clinton will discuss a report being compiled by the State Department Accountability Review Board on the Department's response during and after the attacks. That report is not expected out until the beginning or middle of next month.

Meanwhile, Clinton is not even expected back in the country until the end of November. According to an interactive travel map on the State Department website, Clinton has traveled to nine countries since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and has plans through Nov. 20 to visit four more.

Staff with Ros-Lehtinen said a date has not yet been set for Clinton's testimony.
