President Trump announced Wednesday that he will soon launch his long awaited social media platform called “TRUTH Social” as part of Trump Media & Technology Group.

“I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech,” Trump said in a statement, per *[Just the News](https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/all-things-trump/trump-launch-new-social-media-network-truth-social?utm_source=breaking&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=newsletter)**.* “We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American president has been silenced. This is unacceptable. I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon.”

The new media group has tapped Scott St. John, executive producers of programs including *Deal or No Deal* and *America’s Got Talent* as its leader.

The network, according to Trump, has one mission: to “give a voice to all.”

He said he’ll also be launching a subscription news and entertainment platform.
