Mr. Timperlake is the co-author (along with Jed Babbin) of "Showdown: Why China Wants War with the United States" (published by Regnery, a HUMAN EVENTS sister company). He was a U.S. Marine Corps fighter pilot in Southeast Asia in 1973 and a professional staff member on the House Committee on Rules during the "Most Favored Nation" debates. He was director of Mobilization, Planning and Requirements at the Department of Defense for President Reagan.
