The first confirmed case of the Omicron COVID-19 variant was detected in California, Dr. Anthony Fauci warned on Wednesday at a White House press conference.
Fauci also said the U.S. travel ban is a “temporary measure” to help get ahead of the new variant.
The World Health Organization recently designated Omicron a “variant of concern.” It was first identified by scientists in South Africa and has since been found in several countries, Just the News reports.
