George H.W. Bush celebrates his 90th birthday by parachuting out of an airplane

Annnnnd the socks.

He did it for his 75th, 80th, and 85th birthdays, and holding to tradition, George H.W. Bush ushered in his 90th birthday by parachuting from an airplane at the family’s summer home in Maine yesterday.

Bush made use of skills he developed in his youth. “The Republican leader first jumped out of a plane during World War II  when his plane was shot down above the island of Chi Chi Jima in the Pacific in September 1944,” reports the DailyMail.

Happy birthday to 41, and here’s hoping 43 commemorates the even with a painting.
