Jobs growth beat forecasts while tensions in Ukraine continued; as a result, stocks made only a slight increase from yesterday’s prices. The S&P 500 gained about 1 percent this week, marking the second positive week in a row. “The economy is continuing to gradually improve,” Chad Morganlander, a Florham Park, New Jersey-based fund manager at Stifel Nicolaus & Co., said. “There’s definitely concern about the Russia-Ukraine thunderstorm rolling back into the market.
