The FTSEurofirst 300 closed up 0.5% on Friday, boosting gains for the week to ¬†3.6%, the greatest weekly growth since April. The market reacted positively to the certainty signaled by the U.S. Fed‚??s plans to ¬†start ¬†tapering ¬†its monetary stimulus in January. European investors ¬†also appreciated positive economic growth data on Friday and earlier in the week.
