Big-name boosts for Cuccinelli

He was ahead, he fell dramatically behind, and now Republican candidate Ken Cuccinelli has rebounded just ahead of Virginia’s all-important gubernatorial election, which will take place on Tuesday.

Despite a strong endorsement from buddy Bill Clinton and wife Hillary, Democratic challenger Terry McAuliffe has told supporters to “ignore the polls” and warned fellow liberals that if Tea Party voters have the strong turn-out they’re reputed to muster, “Election Day will not be pretty.”

Cuccinelli, Virginia’s staunchly conservative Attorney General, has attracted some big-name endorsements of his own, among them: Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul. Congressman Ron Paul has also joined in the effort by campaigning at Cuccinelli rallies this week.
