The Brazilian central bank reported that August growth missed analystsâ?? projections, increasing only 0.08%. However, the economic news there is mixed, since a previous report from the bank showed unexpectedly strong job creation in September. Another report indicated a jump in retail sales in July and August. “With this outcome… we are maintaining for now our expectation of a slight retraction at the margin of the Brazilian economy in the third quarter,” according to the Brazilian bank Bradesco.
