Stocks Drop on Government Shutdown Concerns (Bloomberg)
U.S. stocks endured their biggest decline since August as investors grew concerned about the timing of eventual Federal Reserve stimulus tapering and a potential government shutdown. â??Itâ??s probably a little confusing to the market whatâ??s coming out of the Fed,â? John Kvantas, a San Antonio, Texas-based executive director at USAA Investments, said. â??Maybe the Fed is trying to send a message that â??yeah we didnâ??t taper, but it doesnâ??t mean we will never taper and maybe actually will taper still quite soon.â??â?
