Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) tore into the Obama Administration’s false narrative about the Benghazi attack during the House Oversight hearings. “Was it negligence? Was it just a reckless disregard for the truth? Or was it something more nefarious than that?” Gowdy asked.
He’s devastating when he reminds listeners of just how insistently the Administration pushed its “spontaneous video protest” nonsense. It wasn’t just an offhand remark in the early, confused moments, and the consulate attack didn’t come out of nowhere. “This was never about a video, it was never spontaneous,” Gowdy said. “This is terror. And I want to know why we were lied to.”
