Environmental advocate: Obama and Christ are a lot alike

Daniel Weiss causes some jaws to drop at a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing.

President Barack Obama is a lot like Jesus Christ.

That’s according to Daniel J. Weiss, a senior fellow with the Center for American Progress Action Fund, who testified as such Thursday morning before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

Weiss was the president’s only defender on the panel of experts called to discuss Obama’s “all of the above‚?Ě energy strategy.

If newspapers had been around when Jesus walked on water, the headlines would have read, “Jesus can’t swim.‚?Ě I think that is how the president is being treated, Weiss said.

The comment caused some jaw dropping among members of the congressional panel.

“I am certainly not going to compare anyone to the Lord,‚?Ě Rep. Mike Kelly (R-Penn.) responded.
