Timmy Turbo Tax Lectures Europe on Fiscal Responsibility

In a statement of breathtaking audacity, President Downgrade's failed Treasury Secretary today stepped up to the plate to take responsibility for his primary role in having America's credit rating downgraded.

Just kidding. He actually exploded the irony meter by wagging his finger at European nations,  telling them to get their fiscal house in order.

Yes, really.

Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner said European governments need to get their “fiscal house” in order and provide a financial backstop for economies under pressure.

“What Europe needs to do is to make sure that there’s an unequivocal financial backstop,” Geithner said, according to the transcript of an interview with NBC and CNBC television today. “So there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that those countries have the ability and the will to meet their obligations. That’s essential to managing crises.”

This from a man who as Treasury Secretary has helped oversee our own financial implosion. As if this mindbending display of chutzpah isn't enough to make you ill, this news ought to.

Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner has told President Obama he plans to remain in his job through the fall of 2012, keeping in place Obama’s longest-serving economic adviser after the first-ever U.S. credit downgrade renewed fears of a second recession.

Clearly he and President Downgrade aren't finished destroying our economy, so there's work left to be done.

Meanwhile, sleazy former car czar Steven Rattner, who last year pled guilty to a massive kickback scheme, was demolished on This Week by George Will after his recent odious statements calling Tea Partiers suicide bombers.

One wonders why ABC even sees fit to have these former Obama administration criminals on the airwaves.

Will pointed out to this twit Rattner: “You do know that 95 House Democrats voted against raising the debt ceiling as compared to only 66 House Republicans. You do know that 26 Democratic Senators voted against raising the debt ceiling?”

So who are the real terrorists?
