MSNBC host Likens Speaker Boehner to Child

MSNBC’s Martin Bashir ended a segment yesterday about debt ceiling negotiations, by saying that Speaker of the House John Boehner should leave the issue in the hands of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and President Obama.

But he didn’t stop there, recalling the controversial children’s book Go the F*** to Sleep he mentioned earlier in the segment, and saying that he wished Boehner would “go off to sleep.” The host of the next show, Dylan Ratigan, egged him on to “just say it,” but Bashir maintained a modicum of professionalism, responding, “I can’t use expletives on air, as you know.”
