“The world is once again turning a blind eye to evil,” said Glenn Beck in his keynote speech at the Christians United for Israel summit in Washington D.C. Tuesday evening.
“Helen Thomas and all those like her, both left and right, have been saying the same thing for thousands of years, ‘go back to where you came from’, and when they do they’re told ‘go someplace else,’” said Beck.
In his speech Beck recounted the many times that the Jews have been persecuted. He then covered the growing threat of a nuclear Iran, and the difficulty of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Referring to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict Beck asked, “Which one of us would give up more of their backyard to a neighbor who would look over the fence and every time you walk by say ‘I’m gonna kill you’? Which one? I contend no one in their right mind.”
Beck said it was important that Americans voice their support for Israel because, “Israel is the canary in the coal mine. As Israel goes, so goes the western way of life.”
On August 24th Glenn Beck will hold a rally in Jerusalem called “Restoring Courage” where he will continue sharing his message of support for Israel.
