The 'Party of Entitlements' Gets a Free Pass

Hey, have you heard of the Democrat plan to reform the unthinkable amount of debt this country is swimming in right now?  No?  Me either.  You see, while the Democrats are launching an all-out smear campaign on Rep. Paul Ryan’s plan to reform Medicare, they have done diddly-squat when it comes to offering any proposals of their own.  In fact, as HUMAN EVENTS reported, the last time Harry Reid actually did his duty as majority leader and adopted a budget was back on April 29, 2009.  If you’re keeping count, that’s more than 760 days ago.

Have the media given the Dems a free pass?  Absolutely, says Sen. Ron Johnson in his interview with us.  “The Democrats are playing a political game of chicken.  That’s obvious.”

The Wisconsin Republican also noted that until the “Party of Entitlements” makes a good-faith effort to restructure rather than demagogue Medicare, “we’re not going to come to a solution.”
