Allen West Honors the Army

On the occasion of the 236th birthday of the United States Army, Rep. Allen West (R-FL), who served in the Army for twenty-two years, prepared this video salute.

As West says, “the sweetness of enduring peace has always been tainted by the bitterness of personal sacrifice.”  May it also be illuminated by the gratitude and admiration of the American people, who have written so many pages in the book of human heroism.  Happy birthday, Army!
