Brooklyn/Queens NOW President Supports Weiner

So you’re the local President of NOW and your Congressman is the disgraced Anthony Weiner. What are you going to do now that he’s slithered off to rehab? Why give him the benefit of the doubt, of course.

What a disgrace.

“I wasn’t happy to discover that my congressman is a 14-year-old boy,” said Julie Kirshner, president of the NOW chapter.

“But he happens to be one of the best politicians out there, so we’re in a bad position. We’re trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.”

You suppose they’d be giving a Republican in the same situation the benefit of the doubt?
Unlikely, to say the least. Here’s the home page of the Brooklyn/Queens NOW. Kirshner is the one of the right in the photo. The most often heard lament in the far left precincts where Weiner remains popular is he was one of the more brash, outspoken member of the Democratic Party, and since ideology trumps all, they just can’t let go of their cherished Weiner. It seems more people than just Weiner needs psychiatric evaluation. I wonder how the few supporters Weiner has left in Congress will enjoy seeing these photos he took of himself in the Congressional gym?
