Ed Schultz issued a thorough—if stoic—apology to Laura Ingraham last night at the start of his nightly MSNBC show.
Admitting that calling the conservative talk show host a “slut,” was “vile and inappropriate” and that his actions were “wrong and uncalled for” Schultz apologized and asked for her forgiveness. He announced that he “recognized their severity,” and would be taking an unpaid suspension from MSNBC.
But Schultz didn’t stop there, continuing for nearly four minutes, taking the opportunity to apologize to the network and his family.
This morning, Ingraham issued a more concise response via Twitter: “Ed Schultz: Apology Accepted.”
