Regnery Publishing Lands Trump Book

Regnery Publishing, the country’s leading conservative book publisher, today confirmed the rumors it has struck a deal with Donald J. Trump to publish his next book.  The book is slated for Fall 2011 release.

“In just a few short months, Donald Trump has proved to be a remarkably powerful force in American politics,” said Marji Ross, president of Regnery Publishing.  “His message — that America, once the most powerful nation on Earth, has lost the respect of the world — clearly resonates with millions of Americans who are angry about the decline of our great nation.  We are honored he has chosen us to publish his new book.”

Trump has written a number of mega-best-selling books, but most have been on business topics.  His first, for example, The Art of the Deal, is one of the most successful business books of all time, having sold more than three million copies.

So why did Trump choose Regnery this time?  Trump says, “Anyone who’s worked with me knows, I only deal with the best.  And for this book, that’s Regnery.  Obviously, they know how to publish bestsellers.  But they also know how to do political books better than anyone else.  I look forward to working with them.”

Ross said she expects Mr. Trump’s book to be one of Regnery’s biggest books of the year.  “Whenever Donald Trump releases a book, it’s a major event.  And given the enormous appeal of his no-nonsense political views, we are confident this book will be a huge bestseller.”

But that’s not the only big book Regnery has coming in the next few months.  “In addition to Mr. Trump’s book,” added Ross, “we are also releasing major new books by repeat-Regnery best-selling authors Newt Gingrich and Mark Steyn.  And we have a very important book coming from Senator Mike Lee on how to combat out-of-control government spending.”

Gingrich’s book, A Nation Like No Other:  Why American Exceptionalism Matters, launches on June 13.  Lee’s book, The Freedom Agenda, will be released on July 25, and  Steyn’s new work, After America, publishes on August 8.

“Frankly,” noted Ross, “it’s exciting for us at Regnery to be at the crossroads of so many influential thinkers and national leaders.  We are fortunate to be working with some of the sharpest minds in politics today.”

In recent years, Regnery has published books by many prominent leaders, thinkers, and pundits, including:  Dinesh D’Souza, David Limbaugh, Michelle Malkin, Bernard Goldberg, Mitt Romney, Laura Ingraham, Mark Levin, David Freddoso, and Michael Barone.
