Priorities: Obama Addresses Immigration Reform

As his poll numbers continue to plummet, our tone-deaf leader today has decided to focus his energy on addressing one of the least important issues facing Americans: How he can somehow legalize enough illegal aliens in time to get himself re-elected. Last week a Gallup poll showed immigration to be the least of our concerns, but since when has what Americans want been a cause of concern for Obama? We have a credit rating now at its lowest level in 70 years and this guy wants to pave the way for millions to receive amnesty.

Obama had two years as president with huge majorities in the House and Senate and got nothing done on immigration. Granted, we should be thankful for that or today we'd have millions of fresh citizens, likely with a much higher unemployment rate. But let that not deter Obama as he seeks some sucker Republicans to play along: "The question is going to be, are we going to be able to find some Republicans who can partner with me and others to get this done once and for all, instead of using it as a political football?" he told Dallas-based WFAA-TV during one of four local television interviews on Monday."

Of course he wants some RINO to be his "partner" so he and his lapdog media can call it a "bipartisan" effort. That's bipartisanship to the left: Hundreds of Democrats and one RINO and poof-you've got bipartisanship! In fact, one media outlet is already calling it a bipartisan group meeting at the White House. Who are they counting as Republicans? Why Arnold Schwarzeneggar and Michael Bloomberg, of course.

Meanwhile, Chicago socialist Luis Gutierrez claims Obama's lack of action on the immigration front might cause him to refrain from backing him in 2012. As if. "I want to support Barack Obama for reelection," Gutierrez told MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell. "But the lack of progress on immigration reform and the lack of action that Barack Obama, our president, has — the discretion he has — is really making that job difficult for me.”

It's quite evident a coordinated effort on the left is also underway as a pro-illegals group coincidentally unveils a "Hall of Shame" to harass lawmakers into going along with their scheme. "In its biannual "Hall of Shame" list, obtained first by The Hill, the PAC took aim at Steve King, eight other Republicans and lone Democrat Rep. Heath Shuler (N.C.) for “spreading misinformation, preying on fear and blocking the reform America wants and needs.” The PAC also names GOP Reps. Lamar Smith (Texas), Ed Royce (Calif.), Pete King (N.Y.), Michele Bachmann (Minn.), Brian Bilbray (Calif.), Candice Miller (Mich.) and Ben Quayle (Ariz.), as well as Sen. John Boozman (R-Ark.)."

This is yet another Democratic Party front group that pretends to be bipartisan. Funny how all their Senate endorsements last fall were of Democrats.
