There has been much back and forth on the airwaves and in print about just where hope and change went wrong. We can talk into the wee hours about the arrogant liberal “progressives” shoving through the trillion-dollar stimulus spending without letting anyone read it before voting.
Or Obamacare–when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) and her band of merry Marxists pole vaulted over the wall to cram the over 2,000 pages of health care down the throats of the American people against our will.
As President Obama so skillfully reminded everyone, “We won.” Elections have consequences.
Today the American people have their say in the process. It’s our turn. It’s time to wipe the arrogant look off of the faces of our self-appointed rulers and replace it with a bit of humility.
It’s time to force Pelosi to hand over the gavel.
For every moment you felt helpless as you watched the Constitution being ripped apart, today’s your day.
Vote. And don’t be shy. Call everyone you know who cares about this nation’s future in freedom and ask if they’ve yet voted. Remind any co-workers who love their country to vote at lunch or on the way home if they didn’t make it to the polling place before work.
Volunteer at a phone bank for your favorite candidate if you can. Just show up at the headquarters and tell them you’re there to help. They’ll show you what to do and how to do it. It’s fun and it’s easy. And you’ll get that feeling of satisfaction from knowing that you made a difference.
The most important thing is to vote. Vote like your life depends on it, because we’re edging ever closer to that tipping point in America. Freedom or socialism? Which will it be?
It’s your decision to make. Today the battle begins in earnest.
