The Great American Sellout

Shame, shame on us! What? That’s exactly what President Obama said to the United Nations on behalf of the American people. In a report to the UN Human Rights Council, the Obama Administration detailed the success of blocking Arizona’s law against illegals as a positive effort in the global fight against human right violations.

Yes, you read that correctly, your President sold you down the river to the most anti-American organization in the world.

Forget the fact that we provide hundreds of millions of dollars a year to keep the UN running, and forget the fact that we allow the headquarters on our soil—leaving the door open to dictators and tyrants as honored guests. The apology tour has taken on a whole new level.

Obama in a quick swipe of the pen, pooled the United States with North Korea, Iran, Afghanistan, Somalia, Darfur and every other oppressing country in the world. Apparently the President equates protecting your border against illegal activity to stoning a woman for infidelity.

The self-effacing act got a resounding standing-O from the global community who couldn’t be happier they finally have someone on their side who hates America as much as them.

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer was incensed at the administration’s careless regard for Americans. “The idea of our own American government submitting the duly enacted laws of a state of the United States to ‘review’ by the United Nations is internationalism run amok and unconstitutional,” Brewer said.

Can you blame her? She’s been stripped by the federal government of any weapon to defend herself and her citizens. Illegals are crossing into her state at record numbers, taking work, not paying taxes, and committing violent crimes, while living in the greatest nation in the world.

If Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally taught us anything, it’s that the American people are craving pride in our country. They are screaming for the right to be proud of the red, white and blue, and they want our President on board.

They certainly do not want him crawling to the enemy and telling them we are sorry for being great. Sorry for allowing our people to be free. Sorry for letting our women work, live and love. Sorry for free speech and sorry for basking in the light of victory and charity that American soldiers have fought for over 200 years.

There is no greater sight than seeing Old Glory waving tall and proud in the wind, knowing what it represents. Looking up at those stars and stripes is affirmation of the glory of freedom, and every time the President pulls an act like this, he plucks a star out of the deep blue box and dumps it on the ground.

It wasn’t a mistake that 300,000 people took to Washington decked out in their American best. They want to be inspired. They want to be a part of something great again and they do not want their coach giving the opposing team their game plan.

Imagine past Presidents (minus Jimmy Carter) leaving the United States subject to judgment by countries like Venezuela, Cuba and Iran. It is unbelievable to equate anything this country does with that of a dictatorship.

It is clear that President Obama wants to sit at their table. He has a fundamental problem with freedom—an ideological dam blocking American pride and leaving us floating on a raft between communism and capitalism.

That is not who we are as a nation and it is an embarrassment that our own President would sell us out to our enemies. Be proud to be an American, because who we are allows the world to exist. Without us the walls come falling down. Hold them up with pride, American pride.
