NYC's chump mayor, Michael Bloomberg, has emerged as the most vocal proponent to allow a 13-story Monster Mosque built just two blocks from Ground Zero. To Bloomberg, such an edifice enshrines New York's commitment to "mutual respect and tolerance," adding that he hopes "that the mosque will help to bring our city even closer together."
But if Bloomberg was really interested in promoting "mutual respect" and "tolerance," he should start by having a conversation with the mullahs over in Saudi Arabia. King Abdullah wouldn't think twice before hanging Bloomberg by his "short ones" along the palace walls for being, um, secular and of Jewish pedigree. A twofer, people!
The idea of building an exclusive Muslim house of worship adjacent to the spot Islamic thugs flew hijacked planes into the Twin Towers is so beyond preposterous, that the only way the story could get worse was if the imam behind the mosque believed America was complicit in the September 11 attacks. Oops, that's exactly what Imam Rauf thinks, telling 60 Minutes, "I wouldn't say that the United States deserved what happened, but the United States policies were an accessory to the crime that happened."
Even a select group of Muslims are criticizing Imam Rauf and Mayor Bloomberg over the proposal. You don’t want to miss this interview with a board member of the Muslim Canadian Congress, who calls Bloomberg a "bleeding heart white liberal" who doesn't understand the "Islamization" of North America.
Money line from the Raheel Raz's clip: "How does building a mosque in the very place where Muslims murdered so many other Americans create any kind of respect?"
Exactly.
Hey, per Robert Spencer's HUMAN EVENTS piece today, who's game to give the KKK a green light to "build a 'shrine of reconciliation' on the site of the black Baptist church bombed by racists in the early Sixties?" In the name of “tolerance,” of course.
