Former Vice President Al Gore was accused of sexual assault by a massage therapist in Oregon in 2006, according to The National Enquirer’s world exclusive. A criminal case was re-opened in 2009 and remains open. Now, the 73-page “special report” by the Portland Police Bureau has been made public. The complainant reports “unwanted sexual conduct” by the “Suspect: Gore, Albert Arnold ‘Al’ …Former Vice President of the United States of America.”

"If the complainant and the Portland Police Bureau wish to pursue the possibility of a criminal prosecution,” District Attorney Michael D. Schrunk said in a statement Thursday, “additional investigation by the bureau will be necessary and will be discussed with the Portland Police Bureau.”
A spokesman for Gore replied “no comment” when asked about the D.A.’s statement by the Associated Press. Gore and wife Tipper Gore announced in early June they were separating after 40 years of marriage.
The alleged victim was a 54-year-old massage therapist at the luxury Hotel Lucia where Gore was staying on his trip to campaign for Oregon Gov. Ted Kulongoski. Gore — who registered at the hotel under the name “Mr. Stone” — ordered the $540 in-room massage for 11 p.m. through the hotel’s front desk.
When the experienced, licensed massage therapist arrived at Gore’s hotel room door, he embraced her. “The hug went on a bit too long and I was a bit taken aback by it,” she told the police. “If it weren’t Al Gore I would have seriously questioned the situation right there because a hug from an unknown male client before a session is a bit odd and unprofessional by typical LMT [Licensed Massage Therapist] business standards.”
The woman said Gore requested she massage his abdomen, and while she did, “he became somewhat vocal with muffled moans etc. he began demanding I go lower and massaging on the abdominal area.” She became “so freaked” that she “decided to clarify things by asking him as he angrily complained that I was not doing what he wanted, for him to show me exactly what he wanted me to do, such as where to massage.”
Then the former Vice President allegedly grabbed her hand and “shoved it down under the sheet to his pubic hair area… and said ‘There!’ in a very sharp, loud, angry-sounding tone.” She refused to perform a sexual act on him and pulled back her hand.

While she was packing up her massage table, Gore pursued trying to have sex with her. The woman says Gore physically attacked her by caressing her “buttocks and breasts” and “forced an open-mouth kiss” and “pressing his body” against her while wearing only a bathrobe.
She told the police that Gore insisted she sit on the bed and listen to the Pink song “Dear Mr. President.” Ironically, the alleged victim voted for Gore for President in 2000.
As she sat on the edge of the hotel bed, she said Gore “flipped me flat on my back and threw his whole body face down over atop me, pinning me down and outweighing me by quite a bit.” She had to “physically struggle and wrench around” to get out from under him” and refused Gore’s repeated attempts to have sex with her.
Finally, as she was at the hotel door, she told the police that “He pleaded, grabbed me, engulfed me in embrace, tongue kissed me, massaged me, groped my breasts and painfully squeezed my nipples through my clothing, pressed his pelvis against mine, rubbed my buttocks with his hands and fingers and rubbed himself against my crotch, saying, You know you want to do it.”
When she got home, the massage therapist noticed stains on the front of her black slacks which she though could be “bodily fluids from Gore pushing up against me repeatedly” because “he had nothing on but his hotel issued terry robe with a belt to hold it closed.”
The woman said that she does not want to be “bought off into silence,” but instead wants “justice and this ugly thing to come out of the shadows.” She told the police that her gut tells her that “I’m not the first woman to be assaulted by him” and she pleaded for other women to “come forward in spite of his public stature and army of lawyers….I believe if someone had spoken up before this would not have happened to me.”
She told the police that Gore “should not get a free pass merely because of his position. People in power are not to be given a license to behave in ways that the rest of us are not, to be above the law and to abuse women through criminal acts.”

Spitzer on CNN
Despite the public outrage, CNN President Jon Klein hired disgraced former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer to host a talk show during family hour. The hour-long political talk show at 8 p.m. will be co-hosted by Kathleen Parker.
CNN announced Wednesday that Kathleen Parker and Eliot Spitzer will host its new 8 p.m. program.CNN’s bizarre statement says Spitzer is “a Democrat who resigned as governor in March 2008 after acknowledging visiting a prostitute, is a well-respected political mind and a take-no-prisoners prosecutor.”

As HUMAN EVENTS reported last week, former madam and current candidate for New York governor Kristin Davis launched an online protest of Spitzer’s hiring. The protest at NoToSpitzer.com allows Americans to directly e-mail the CNN executives to say they are boycotting the network.
Spitzer was never charged with any of the crimes he’s been accused of, including soliciting a prostitute, money laundering and violating the Mann Act by transporting prostitutes across state lines. The women in the ring exposed by Spitzer’s bust were charged and sentenced to jail time.
Davis’ reaction to the news on her Facebook page: “Spitzer gets his own TV show- I spent the day at probation.”
Ed Mezvinsky to Attend Son’s Marriage to Chelsea
Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky are getting married on July 31 at an undisclosed location in New York. I wrote in my column on Tuesday that is was still unclear if the groom’s father, former Rep. Edward Mezvinsky (D-Iowa), was invited to the wedding. Now, HUMAN EVENTS has confirmed that Ed Mezvinsky will be attending the nuptials.
“There was a big family strain over him,” a source close to Mezvinsky tells me. “But I know for sure that but he’ll be attending his son’s wedding."

Ed is divorced from the groom’s mother, former Rep. Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky (D-Pa.) and estranged from his son. He pled guilty in 2002 to 31 charges of bank fraud, mail fraud, and wire fraud. He was in prison from five years and released on federal probation in April 2008. He still owes over $9 million in restitution to his victims.
Now I wonder if Bill and Hillary Clinton will invite Al Gore to Chelsea’s wedding?
