A new Gallup daily tracking poll released today now shows John McCain two points up over Barack Obama http://www.gallup.com/poll/election2008.aspx. This is the first time McCain has had any measured advantage over Obama since the latter clinched the Democratic nomination. This poll (a rolling poll over three days) is the first to include all three days since the Biden announcement was public (Saturday, Sunday and Monday).
Today, McCain is UP by two: 46-44. And that’s before Hillary, Bubba and Biden give their prime-time speeches. Maybe the Republicans should just nominate McCain and his running mate privately, and let the Democrats keep talking.
