FISA Roll Call

The Senate today reauthorized the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) by a vote of 69-28. The bill sets the rules for investigators to wiretap phones and read e-mails of foreign targets.

Before final passage, the Senate also defeated an attempt by Democratic senators to remove legal immunity for telecommunication companies from the bill.
