A fresh-faced recent college graduate named Mark Harris who mounted an aggressive campaign to win the 42nd District House seat of Pennsylvania overcame great odds last night in defeating his Republican opponent Ted Stevenson in the primary election.

Stevenson conceded to Harris this morning remarking he ran a “spirited” campaign against him.

Harris first drew national attention to his organizing capabilities when as a leader of the Young Conservatives of Pennsylvania began a public relations campaign against their state House and Senate legislative leaders for giving themselves a 16-35% pay hike without debate. Harris’ campaign led to the full repeal, a reversal and public apology from Stevenson, who Harris ousted today.
