Brock’s Fabricated Quotes?

Former Republican golden boy-turned liberal apologist boy-toy David Brock and his group "Media Matters" recently accused Thomas Kuiper, author of "I've Always Been a Yankees Fan: Hillary Clinton in Her Own Words" of using fabricated quotes for his book.

But Kuiper has turned the tables on Brock and Media Matters, saying that "It's quite hypocritical to attack a book, saying it has poor sources, when two of Mr. Brock's own books were used as source material. Then again, this aligns perfectly with the theme of this book: a liberal being exposed for her contradicting comments and attitude over the years. If Mr. Brock would like to stand by his comments, then I hope that the quotations we used from his book, 'The Seduction of Hillary Rodham,' were accurate, because they were embarrassing."

The quotes borrowed from Brock's tome have Mrs. Clinton saying such chestnuts as:

  • "We just can't trust the American people to make those types of choices...the Government has to make those choices for people."
  • "We can't afford to have that money go to the private sector. That money has to go to the federal government because the federal government will spend that money better than the private sector will spend it."
  • "You stupid motherf--er!"

Maybe The New York Times will grant Brock some editorial space to run a lengthy correction apologizing to Hillary for ever putting those quotes in print.
