"Donkey Cons" author Robert Stacy McCain was a hard-core Democrat only 10 years ago, enthusiastically voting for Bill Clinton. Now, he said he regrets that his book only had room to devote one chapter to the Clinton's scandals because his findings of corruption were endless. Today he believes strongly in the conservative movement and has decided to expose prior and current corruption in the Democratic Party.
At an event sponsored by Young America's Foundation on Capitol Hill yesterday, McCain talked about his book, co-authored with Lynn Vincent, which carries the title "Donkey Cons: Sex, Crime, and Corruption in the Democratic Party." Democratic congressional scandals outnumber Republican scandals 3:1. This is the reason McCain said he decided to write the book.
McCain was born in Georgia and currently writes for the Washington Times. He said many of his friends and family are Democrats, but the corruption in the party is inexcusable. He says politicians become too ambitious but, "if you believe in God and you trust in him you don’t have to cut corners." His favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 22:29, which says, "Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean [men]."
