While at a press conference criticizing the administration for the government's response to Hurricane Katrina, Hillary was asked for her reaction about how the White House handled the Vice-President Cheney shooting incident. Needless to say, she jumped at the chance to pile on the administration:
"A tendency of this administration - from the top all the way to the bottom - is to withhold information…to refuse to be forthcoming about information that is of significance and relevance to the jobs that all of you do, and the interests of the American people…Putting it all together, going back years now, there's a pattern and it's a pattern that should be troubling…The refusal of this administration to level with the American people on matters large and small is very disturbing, because it goes counter to the way our constitutional democracy…is supposed to work."
She did not mention anything about her husband's administration stonewalling and obstructing investigations regarding Whitewater, Monica Lewinsky, Rose Law Firm billing records, the firing of the White House Travel Office, the use of 900 secret FBI files, the Chinese campaign cash connection, or formulating the massive Hillary-inspired health care plan in secret.
