In honoring the legacy of Coretta Scott King and her life’s work to unify America during her funeral today, "Reverend" Joseph Lowry tastelessly used the opportunity to preach "some anti-Bush, anti-War rhetoric":
"We know now there were no weapons of mass destruction over there," he said on national television. "But Coretta knew and we knew that there were weapons of misdirection right down here. Millions without health insurance, poverty abound, for war billions more, but no more for the poor."
Only the looney left would stoop so low — especially when the President and his wife Laura were in attendance to pay their respects and sitting directly behind the pulpit.
