Human Events on Blog Row at State of the Union

The nation’s oldest conservative weekly newspaper, HUMAN EVENTS, will report from Blog Row about President Bush’s State of the Union address throughout the day. Follow the coverage live on at

Starting at 2 p.m. and lasting late into Tuesday night, HUMAN EVENTS will be stationed on Blog Row on Capitol Hill with some of the most prominent blogs today, including,, National Journal’s Hotline and (See below for the full list of participants.) Editor Robert Bluey, who covered Samuel Alito’s confirmation hearings for HUMAN EVENTS’s, was invited to take part in the State of the Union festivities throughout the day Tuesday. A team of HUMAN EVENTS editors, including News Producer Ivy Sellers, Managing Editor Chris Field and Assistant Editor Amanda Carpenter, will provide additional coverage.

“It’s our goal at HUMAN EVENTS to bring readers the most up-to-date information about the most important speech President Bush will deliver in 2006,” Bluey said. “With bloggers serving as new medium of choice for the Republican Party, there’s no better place to be in the center of the action than on Blog Row.”

The House Republican Conference is sponsoring Blog Row. A steady parade of lawmakers is expected to visit with bloggers Tuesday. In addition, HUMAN EVENTS editors will be on the prowl in the U.S. Capitol after the speech to gather reaction from members of Congress.

Live radio broadcasts will also take place from Blog Row. They include Janet Parshall’s America, Drive Time With Armstrong Williams, and Battle Line with Alan Nathan.
