The 2006 Conservative Political Action Conference, a three day event sponsored by the American Conservative Union in cooperation with Human Events and Young America’s Foundation, begins February 9, and the pre-registration deadline is fast approaching. CPAC is America’s premier event for conservatives. CPAC 2005 broke all records with of more than 4,100 participants and a line-up of speakers and panelists that included Vice President Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, Ann Coulter, former Sen. Zell Miller, Phyllis Schlafly, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and Swift Boat Veterans for Truth representatives among others. Those in attendance boasted that CPAC ’05 would be hard to top.
CPAC 2006, however, is already on course to break last year’s attendance records and has a schedule packed with political headliners including: Vice President Dick Cheney, Human Events columnist Ann Coulter, UN Ambassador John Bolton, Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao, Senators George Allen (Va.) and John Cornyn (Tex.), Representatives Mike Pence (Ind.) and Tom Tancredo (Colo.), Lt. Col. Oliver North, syndicated columnist George Will, Newt Gingrich, Phyllis Schlafly and many more.
CPAC 2006 will run February 9-11 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. In addition to the stellar line-up of speakers, there will be spirited panel discussions on such important issues such as immigration, social security, UN reform, the Iraq war, elections and voter fraud, civil liberties versus national security, and the marriage amendment.
In addition, CPAC will offer participants the chance to attend many educational seminars and workshops sponsored by such groups as the Leadership Institute, Americans for Technology Leadership and the National Black Republican Association.
CPAC 2006 also will feature book-signings by many of the nation’s leading conservative authors, live broadcasts of national and local radio talk shows, hands-on training sessions on grass-roots activism and media strategy, an Internet row and a bloggers’ corner, a silent auction, and much more.
