Pope John Paul II Shooter to Star in Hollywood Film

The Little Green Footballs website links to a stunning article revealing that Mehmet Ali Agca, the man who shot Pope John Paul II, has signed a contract worth around eight million dollars to star in a Hollywood film about his attack on the Pontiff.

What is there to say about Hollywood? Just after they give a Golden Globe to a movie that glorifies suicide bombing, you think they couldn't possibly sink any lower. And then, they do.

Personally, I don't really want to see any more of Hollywood's "Erin Brockovich" or "North Country"-style films about satanic corporations. If filmmakers want a model of a greedy and totally immoral industry, they should look closer to home.
