Sen. Orrin Hatch (R.-Utah) just visited Bloggers’ Row and staunchly defended Judiciary Chairman Arlen Specter (R.-Pa.), who clashed with Sen. Teddy Kennedy (D.-Mass.) over an attempt to temporarily shut down Samuel Alito’s hearings and go into executive session.
Hatch said what Specter did - telling Kennedy he wouldn’t make a ruling on his demand to subpoena documents related to Concerned Alumni of Princeton - was absolutely correct.
