Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R.-Tenn.) said Tuesday he wouldn't make an endorsement in the race to replace Rep. Tom DeLay (R.-Tex.) as House majority leader.

Acting Majority Leader Roy Blunt (R.-Mo.) is facing a spirited challenge from Rep. John Boehner, chairman of the House Education and Workforce Committee.

During an appearance before Bloggers’ Row at Samuel Alito's confirmation hearings, I asked Frist if he was planning to takes sides.

"No," he said. "We'll let that play out. It's one of the wonderful things about these two institutions. When challenges arise, people work through it."
