New Alito Ad Showcases Puppets on the Judiciary Committee

With the confirmation hearings for Judge Samuel Alito kicking off this week, a new ad (“The Liberal Goatherd”) has been produced by Fidelis, a Catholic-based advocacy group, which showcases the strong left-wing influence over certain senators on the Judiciary Committee.

The ad depicts Sens. Feinstein, Leahy, Durbin, Kennedy, Schumer, Feingold, Biden and Kohl as puppets whose strings are pulled by liberal activist groups such as People for the American Way and Alliance for Justice. Set to The Sound of Music’s “The Lonely Goatherd” by Rogers and Hammerstein, the parody captures the concern voiced by many conservatives that the Alito hearings will be dominated by attacks from the radical Left as it seeks to protect its many agendas.
