The final two senators to give opening statements - Sam Brownback (R.-Kan.) and Tom Coburn (R.-Okla.) - were among the best of the day.
Brownback and Coburn both brought social issues to the forefront. Each passionately spoke about convenience of abortion and the left's attempt to popularize the so-called "right to choose."
Coburn scolded Democrats, who squirmed in their seats as he spoke, about the killing of innocent life. Likewise, Brownback told his colleagues that it's shameful that Americans would take life because of baby might have a disability.
Look for their full opening statements on humanevents.com tomorrow.
