Concerned Women for America tonight extended its sympathy and prayers to Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, who is suffering from a significant stroke suffered Wednesday.
“CWA and our members are praying for Prime Minister Sharon, his family and his country,” said Wendy Wright, CWA’s executive vice president. “Many of us have loved ones who have suffered from strokes or other devastating illnesses. May God grant him and his loved ones peace in the midst of this, and wisdom to those who will be taking on his responsibilities.”
Dr. Janice Crouse, CWA’s senior fellow of the Beverly LaHaye Institute, said, "Our prayers are with Israel’s Prime Minister Ariel Sharon as he fights for his life. As the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, approaches, we look back at Israel’s long road toward peace and pray for Prime Minister Sharon and for the peace of Jerusalem."
